Job Description CAREER OPPORTUNITY WITH RAILROAD LOGISTICS COMPANY WHO SERVICES OIL AND GAS INDUSTRY! JOB SUMMARY: Perform specified tasks at a transload facility to meet safety, quality, and efficiency goals while supporting the policies and objectives of the company. DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES: - Utilizing transloader and other equipment, unload railcars as directed - Perform railcar inventories at the start and end of each shift - Complete daily checklists on mobile equipment such as RailKing and transloader - Classify manifested cars to keep rail yard organized and promote plant efficiency - Manually check product level in silos - Perform daily inspection of facility - Maintain equipment to company standards, and ensures all equipment, including personal protective equipment, is in proper working order - Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on equipment - Complete end of shift reports and make preparations for upcoming shift - Learns and is responsible for completing required paperwork and submitting it to the appropriate parties accurately and on time (i.e. end-of-shift reports, timesheets, maintenance reports, month-end expense reports, etc) - Maintains Safety Standards at all times: transload facility, rail yard, and while traveling - Reports all hazards or potentially hazardous situations, accidents, incidents and injuries immediately to supervisor - Follow procedures and encourage teammates do so as well - Schedule and plan events 2-4 hours in advance - Plant housekeeping as needed - Other duties as assigned WORK SCHEDULE: Must be available to work shift rotation of one month on days and one month on nights 6am to 6pm Sun-Wed shift 6pm to 6am Wed-Sun 4 days on 3 off WORK ENVIRONMENT / PHYSICAL ABILITIES: - While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions. The employee is regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; risk of electrical shock and vibration. The noise level in the environment is moderate to loud. - While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to stand, sit and walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms, lift up to 50 pounds. Occasionally required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk, hear and smell; lift more than 100 pounds. The vision requirements include: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. POSITION REQUIREMENTS -- EDUCATION, SKILLS, ABILITIES, EXPERIENCE: - High School Diploma or GED - Experience in oil/gas service work, warehousing, manufacturing, or logistics. - Strong communication skills (verbal and written) and active listening skills in relation to other team members, customers or affiliates - Mechanical ability - Functional on a computer - Possess a high degree of attention to detail. - Perform tasks using the correct tools and parts. PREFERRED -- EDUCATION, SKILLS, ABILITIES, EXPERIENCE: - Familiarity with oilfield terminology a plus - Working knowledge of Emergency Response Plans, location and use of all required safety equipment - Familiarity with Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) H2S Certification a plus.
