Overview Our client is an international water and environmental engineering services company, combining worldwide expertise with detailed knowledge of the UK water infrastructure. They are actively seeking top caliber individuals with a passion for water and natural resource projects to join their teams. We are currently seeking a highly skilled Senior Water Quality Modeller to work in either the Warrington or Redditch offices on a permanent basis. Our client's unprecedented success in securing AMP6 contracts and the continued growth into new sectors means that we are actively recruiting to support their growing Water Resources Team. We are seeking energetic and innovative staff to design, win and deliver solution-oriented services to existing and new clients. The position is primarily in support of UK Water Company clients, although contribution to international projects is increasingly required. In return they are offering a permanent position, offering a salary between £32,000 to £44,000 per annum depending on experience and a chance to flourish and grow within a company who firmly believes that building a great career is as important as Building a Better World. Experience Required * Must have at least 5 years industry relevant experience. * Must be MSc or PhD degree qualified with proven water quality modelling experience within the consultancy industry. * You will preferably be chartered or at the least currently working towards it. * Ability and confidence to take a lead role in writing and supporting fee proposals and in writing/reviewing technical reports * Experience in staff management and mentoring will also be useful as the successful candidate will be expected to work within a team that is located throughout several UK offices. * Demonstrable skills in factual and interpretative reporting, data management and analysis and presentation. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills along with strong time management and presentational performance. * Strong GIS skills are essential * You MUST be able to demonstrate significant technical experience in one of the following areas: - Water quality modelling (e.g. MIKE11); - Environmental Impact Assessments - water resources quality impact assessments; - Water Framework Directive Assessments; and - Sediment transport assessments/modelling. Additional experience in the following areas would be an advantage: - Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS) - principals and design (e.g. using WinDes MicroDrainage); - River restoration studies (e.g. weir removal impact assessments); - Water resources assessments; - Integrated Catchment Management - i.e. to achieve water quality benefits; and - Climate change impact assessment and adaptation planning.
